As i promised before i finally have a chance to write down this recipe, I'm pretty sure this sweet always been Australian favorite party snack, almost everywhere i went for the party i saw this. Not only kids like them but the adults too! including me :)
I's quite simple and very few ingredients, but always keep in mind that the mixture is very hot when you put them on the patty cases or ice cream cone like mine.
I'm apologize for blurry picture because i forgot to take this picture alone, so i just cropped them from one my food pictures collection.
So all you need is 90g Margarine (i used unsalted butter), 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tbsp honey, 4 cups cornflakes, patty cases ( i used ice cream cone).
Method: Preheat oven to 250 Degrees C. Melt margarine, sugar & Honey.
Add corn flakes & mix well . Spoon into paper patty cases or ice cream cone.
Bake in slow oven for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.

Bubur Ayam Kuah Kuning // Chicken Porridge in Yellow Broth
Hay.. hay...
My favorite breakfast back when i liven in Indonesia, apart from fried rice is this Chicken porridge in Yellow broth, the Men usually sell them in the traditional vendor, by walking from one to the other place/ village.
There are few different version of Chicken porridge, mostly people make it without yellow broth, which is similar to the original version from Chinese cuisine. For me i will do whatever it takes to satisfied my food craving :) I will make my favorite food from scratch to get the perfect taste i desire.
In western country, this dish would be suitable for cold weather, just like soup. A bit complicated but worth to try.

My Black Forest Birthday cake
In the past 2 years, i always made black forest for my birthday, not only because i mastered how to make them ;P .
I also think it's the easiest and shorter time to make.
There are many Black forest recipe on the internet, but i always use the same recipe since i fond it long time ago.
Apart from my latest birthday, I'm enjoying our new house, it's bigger and feel so homy.. because we used to the unit, which is smaller and only had a tiny concrete backyard. My daughter was so happy when she found out that we'll stay here now.
She couldn't wait to harvest our Apple, Plums and peach :) We just lucky to find this house,it has all the criteria i wanted!
Here some of my BF pictures.
Look at my daughter, she's busy tasting each one of the cake :)

Es Cendol (Es Dawet) // Cold pandan dessert with coconut milk and sugar topped with Jackfruit - Masak Bareng
The dessert's basic ingredients consist of coconut milk, starch noodles with green food coloring (usually sourced from the pandan leaf), and palm sugar. Red beans, glutinous rice, grass jelly, creamed corn, and shaved ice are optional additions. Cendol has become a quintessential part of cuisine among the multi-racial population in Southeast Asia and is often sold by vendors at roadsides, hawker centres and food courts.
Cendol vendors are a common sight in Indonesian cities. In the Javanese language, cendol refers to the jelly-like part of the beverage, while the combination of cendol, palm sugar and coconut milk is called dawet. (Wikipedia)

As Indonesian, i love fried rice and we have many different kind of fried rice or "Nasi Goreng". This is the most famous Indonesian dish so far, along with "Rendang, gado-gado and sate".
I made this for our lunch on Sunday, the original recipe is not contain meatball, but i always need some meat on my meal. Photo session only took me about 5 minutes, with crying toddler on the background :( yess it's very limited time and i hate it cos i don't do it properly.

Lodho Ayam (Tulung Agung)
Sorry, but this time i will post the recipe in Indonesian language friends...
``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Bangga deh dengan masakan Indonesia yang beragam, walaupun bahan bakunya ayam, tapi ada banyak sekali resep berbeda (bahkan satu pulau bisa mempunyai aneka macam resep ayam).
Hidup di negeri orang itu bagiku banyak sekali
Walaupun sudah banyak restaurant Indonesia disini, tapi tetap aja, menu mereka ngak selengkap di Indo, yang mereka sajikan ya itu- itu aja (yang ada di menu list), se- sekali ok lah, tapi kan lama-lama bosen juga dong.
Dengan berbagai keterbatasan bahan, kadang-kadang kita harus pinter-pinter cari bahan pengganti yang mirip, (tapi biasanya sih kalo buat bumbu-bumbu udah mulai gampang di dapatkan di sini, banyak toko-toko Asia, bahkan Indonesia), tapi yang paling penting adalah melestarikan kuliner Indonesia, ya ngak??, bahkan saya selalu kasih resep Indonesia ke teman-teman bule disini (sebagian dari mereka tertarik untuk coba-coba masakan indonesia).
Sambil ngetik, sambil nahan air liur nihh... hehe.
Ini dia resepnya, dapat dari Tabloid Nova.
Bahan:
1 Ekor ayam, belah dadanya tidak putus, tekan melebar (i cut into 8 pieces)
1 sdt ketumbar bubuk
1/2 sdt jinten bubuk
Dora Novelty Cake
I made this cake for Ellyn's friend Charlotte, I hope she like the cake :).
It's so enjoyable and fun making this cake, the weather also perfect to handle my fondant this time.
Dora figurine made a week ahead allowing them to dry and strong (i had difficulty making dora's head, and change the shape once). As a finishing touches, i brush the cake with the pearl dusting, for more sophisticated look :P.
If you make something that you really like, you will enjoy so much like me, especially if your costumer really happy with the result :)
I hope you have a wonderful day on your Birthday Char :)
Cake Zebra Putih Telur // White eggs Zebra cake
Some days i have plenty of white eggs in my fridge, cos I've been making cakes with more yolk, i was thinking to make meringue or pavlova but they both too sweet and my daughter can't really eat them, so i began to search again on the Internet.
When i found this recipe, i can imagine the taste already by looking at the pictures, on one of Indonesian blogger name Rina, i don't know where is she get the recipe from or she could make the recipe :) Thanks Mba Rina. Is very good idea using only white eggs (less cholesterol)and using left over eggs.
The texture is very moist (from the emulsifier), not too sweet and best of all it's pretty Zebra pattern. Enjoy... and here is the recipe both in Indonesian and English language.
Cake Zebra Putih Telur // White egg Zebra cake
25 gr maizena // cornstarch
1 sdm(tbsp)coklat bubuk/pasta coklat/pasta pandan/pasta strawberry // chocolate powder
Cara:
1. Putih telur + SP dikocok sampai mengembang. // Beat the white eggs and emulsifier until foamy.
2. Masukkan gula pasir sedikit2 sambil terus dikocok. // Add sugar gradually, keep beating.
3. Masukkan terigu sedikit2 sambil diaduk rata. // Add flour and mix with spoon or spatula.
4. masukkan blue band yg sudah dicairkan, aduk rata. // Add melted butter, keep mixing until smooth.
5. bagi adonan menjadi 2, ½ bagian beri pasta coklat sisanya biarkan putih. // Divided batter into 2 bowl, add 1 bowl with the chocolate powder, mix well.
6. Tuang adonan putih sedikit, lalu tuang adonan coklat. Tuang lagi adonan putih, lalu adonan coklat. Begitu seterusnya sampai adonan habis. // Pour white a spoon full of batter into the greased tin, then add the chocolate batter, do it in order until finish.
Black and white theme birthday Cakes
Here is my hubby's special birthday cake.
I had some trouble handling the fondant this time, because Melbourne weather was reaching 43°C and the house was so hot as well, so my fondant ending up so sticky and difficult to use, that makes me learned something important about cake decorating :)
Because i was planning to make black and white theme cakes for a long time, I'm quite happy with the result, specially cos he love it.
The Surprise was successful too on that day, i was pretending to forget his birthday in the morning, until he went home and I'm ready with table full of food and sing happy birthday with my daughter (she sang happy birthday song many times that day).
